Sunday School at First Presbyterian Church is offered every Sunday morning from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m. Classes are available for all ages. With the exceptions of the adult classes, all classes use the incredible ecumenical curriculum The Whole People of God. Based on the revised common lectionary, which is a calendar of scriptures to be used by many churches on any given Sunday, The Whole People of God is a holistic education experience that has activities and lessons based on the same scripture used during the worship services. This makes for an integrated experience that encourages family discussions of the lessons learned, since all ages have heard some aspect of that scripture's meanings. This curriculum has been a great success for our Sunday School.
The Seekers class, comprised of middle adults, chooses its own curriculum and often focuses on the latest issues. This class is discussion oriented, generally lacking in formality.
The Adult class, made up of older adults, uses a Presbyterian curriculum designed for its age group and is lecture-oriented, with interesting discussions.
